Vacation Rental.org (VRO) is a unique organization created by experienced vacation property owners who felt the need for an organization that provides the same kind of service to vacation rental owners that has long been available to the owners of Bed and Breakfasts and small Inns.

VRO was also established with the discriminating vacation property renter in mind. Although there are dozens of on-line directories with thousands of listings of vacation rental properties there is no other directory whose property owners must adhere to a certain quality of service. Therefore there is a need for a directory that is designed to insure that vacation rental guests get the kind of pleasant and enjoyable vacation accommodations that they have a right to expect. We firmly believe that vacation rental properties are the best value available to the public. For those who don't require room service and daily maid service vacation rental properties can offer much more affordable and luxurious accommodations and amenities than are available to the hotel or motel guest.

However, vacation rental properties are only a true bargain when they meet a certain level of cleanliness and have all the necessary amenities that the modern vacationer has come to expect. Also, there must be someone available at or near the vacation property site to make any repairs that are necessary when appliances do not work, or other unforeseen problems occur.

VRO is not for all vacation property owners. It is only for those owners who are serious about the appearance, upkeep and cleanliness of their establishment. It is for property owners who want to maximize their property's rental potential by providing a level of comfort and service that will ensure happy customers and clients and enhance the level of repeat business. VRO is for those property owners who want to maintain a high level of occupancy for their vacation property by providing a vacation experience that their guests will talk about for years to come.

The President of VRO is Sandy McLeod, an experienced property manager and a former realtor. Together with her husband Mike, she operates a highly successful rental development of 25 luxury cabins in Asheville, North Carolina which maintains an annual occupancy rate of over 80 percent on a year round basis.

It is VRO's goal to provide vacation property owners with the benefit of their own experience in the business, as well as the shared experiences of other property owners through an on-line forum in the member's only section.

In addition, through common experience, VRO will establish a list of preferred suppliers and vendors of everything the property owner needs - from light bulbs to insurance.
