My wife and I stayed for a week in late July 2011 - our anniversary. The cabins are conveniently located about 25 minutes fom Soldotna and about 45 mintues from Homer. Located near Halibut fishing at Ninilchick and Anchor Point. Apart from some immoderate weather not under the control of our host, everything was above expectations. Chuck should be nominated for Commissioner of Tourism for the Kenai Penninsula. He went out of his way to find specific information for us. In a perveted sense I don't want to write this review because my fear is this place is going to be so popular in the future I may not get in if I call too late. The cabins had most everything on hand, in stock. The Alaska courtesy is to leave behind any unused food/consumables. We had coffee, creamer, filters, bottled water, and a lot of things left at the cabi that I can't enumerate. Stores are not exacltly in the back yard. Chuck can tell you what is there so you can plan accordingly. Fish on your grill is a wonderful evening meal. The views from the front deck/picnic table is beyond compare. Finding the cabins could be a bit challenging, especialy if it is dark. They are at about mile marker 122, there is an electical box near the turn. It is about 3/8 or so of a mile down a gravel road across some lowlands until you see Homestead drive - a right turn. Chuck's place is about a quarter mile or so on the right. All the turns are marked but the signs are maybe 2X3 feet and not reflective at night. The cabins are another 1/4 mile or so past Chuck's house, a circular drive marked "Janes Lane". The cabins are far enough from the highway the traffic noise from trucks on the Sterling Highway cannot be heard. I don't think I've slept so soundly despite late evenings and early mornings. The cabins is equipped with heavy curtains to block out light. Highly recommend staying here.

In June 2010 my wife and I spent two weeks in Alaska. The end of our trip was spent at Cabins on the Bluff which we took a chance on as we had never been to Alaska before. What a great experience,! The owner Chuck is the perfect host and saw to our needs, but let has the privacy we desired. The cabins are spotless, we cooked each night getting fresh fish in Homer an hour away. We hope to come back in next year.
