Waterfront property. All the excitement and entertainment of South Florida is just outside the door but inside; Casa Calma is your own private tropical retreat.It would be hard to be more centrally located in Fort Lauderdale; Ocean drive, when it curves away from the beach and becomes 17th Street Causeway ends 3 miles from the beach just 3 houses down from us, Las Olas, the Riverwalk, the Performing Arts Theater, shopping, cinemas and downtown Fort Lauderdale are just over a mile away, a few minutes by boat. State Road 84, I 95, and I595 are all within a mile and you can be on the Florida Turnpike or at the FLL airport in 7 minutes putting the rest of South Florida in easy reach. Be in Miami and South Beach in 20 minutes, The Florida Keys or Florida's West coast in just over an hour and The Everglades in about 15 minutes. Head up to Disney World and the rest of Orlando in about 3 hours.
This waterfront property is located in the quiet community of finger islands known as Citrus Isles where there are huge canopy trees and on our property you'll find 11 coconut trees as well as a half dozen other types of palm and other exotic vegitation. The front of the property has a brick circle driveway with lush landscaping all enclosed by a 10 foot fichus hedge. The private back garden has a brick patio and the Jacuzzi is just a few steps from the french doors leading to one of the bedrooms. The dock, equipped with Adirondack chairs extends 6 feet over the canal and has a lovely view of the sunset over the water. Inside, the floors are bamboo hardwood with newly carpeted bedrooms. The kitchen, with stainless steel Frigidaire Gallery Series appliances and granite countertops opens to a casual bar/dining area.
