Close to world class skiing of Copper Mountain, Keystone, Vail, and Breckenridge, as well as a great smaller family area, Ski Cooper among others. You will have views of Mt. Elbert, Colorado's highest peak, as well as other 14 thousand foot peaks from the huge picture windows in Buckeye's and Luna's cabins. Area Description: Buckeye's & Luna's Cabins are located 4 miles outside the Town of Leadville on the upper most reaches of the Arkansas river headwaters, at the point where Mt. Elbert, Colorado's highest peak and Mt Massive come into view. It is part of an old ranch that sits on a gold mining claim and is an authentic old, comfy, cozy cabin, surrounded by 14 thousand foot peaks. There are Beaver ponds and huts to explore across the road from the cabins.
