EVENT: Festival del Cinema Latino americano in Trieste form 11.-19.10.08
The spirit that enlivens the festival wants to return to Latin America and to its artistic products that dignity that cannot leave aside the presence in the international and national distribution, the coproduction, and the entry into a market that goes beyond the wide borders of the American subcontinent.

Also for this 23rd edition the event is subdivided into many significant sections: the competition section, with the most recent film productions of the entire continent; the information section, which every year presents works that participated at the most important European film events, with particular attention to the co-productions with Italy and the European Community; the Oriundi Prize, dedicated to the production of Latin American film makers of Italian descent, and the Retrospective dedicated to the Mexican director Nicolas Echevarria; Salon Espa?a, with the Spanish film production and particular attention to the new ways of expression, to short film, to the new technologies; Todavia Cantamos, dedicated to the artists that emphasize the subjects of human condition and of social struggle.

TRIESTE
The Grotta Gigante, opened to the public on July 5th 1908. This great cavern with its dome-shaped vault, is similar in shape to an ellipsoid with its 130 m in length (280 metres at its maximum expansion), 65 m in width and 107 m in height. Due to its size it could hold Saint Peter?s Basilica and it is for this reason, that in 1995 it was cited in the Guinness book of records as ?the largest tourist cave in the world?.

CIVIDALE
Cividale is a veritable jewel, the keeper of a very important historical heritage: Julius Caesar founded it in 50 B.C. circa and named it Forum Iulii from which the name Friuli derives.
The capital of the first Longobard duchy in Italy, it was ruled by the Romans, the Franks, the Patriarchate of Aquileia and la Serenissima.

SAN DANIELE The land of the castels
Often built for defence and administration purposes, the castles of Friuli have lost their original tasks over time, but have maintained their fascination and have become material witnesses of the culture and history of our land.

MARANO LAGUNARE
Visit the antique fishermen village in the heart of the lagoon called "Casoni".

SEASIDE
Soft golden sand and flat sea beds with a peaceful sea await to welcome you in Lignano Sabbiadoro and Grado: beaches that are perfectly ideal for resting, for a regenerating massage, for sun-blazing beach volley matches, for a different way of living in relaxation, which will allow you to recover the feeling of forgotten pleasures.

GOLF
Grado Golf Club is ideal, situated within the setting of the splendid lagoon, it has a number of water obstacles and the beautiful ?Tenuta Primero? which comprises a number of important reception facilities just a few kilometres away from the ?Isola del Sole? the sunny isle of Grado. Still on the coast we can also find the Lignano Golf Club , within the splendid pinewood area between the Tagliamento river mouth and the Marano lagoon: the golf course is characterised by a number of small lakes and large bunkers, in an area of some 70 hectares of land, where there is even space for the large and extremely welcoming club house with a health spa and a hotel.
