Possibly the best day out you'll have in France is the Grand Parc Puy du Fou at Cholet. An amazing theme park with a difference. Just an hour and a half from us, you'll be fascinated, astounded and enthralled! Guaranteed! Because the area is mainly flat, it makes for great cycling. There are many pathways marked for your enjoyment, whether by bike or on foot. We have bikes for hire, and we have local maps for you to borrow. There are lakes and rivers to explore if you're a keen fisherman. We have access to one or two privately owned lakes here by arrangement with the owners, where your personal best catch is waiting for you. It's easy to find canoes for hire to explore more intimately the rivers Loire, Loir, Thouet, Vienne, Maine, Mayenne and many, many more.
