A spacious well equipped Villa with a private swimming pool, just a few seconds walk from the beach. Our villa is situated in Bahia de Arena, a private beach front community of 20 houses with 24 hour security and 24 hour electricity. We have the best location in Cabarete for kite boarding and wind surfing or just relaxing and enjoying your vacation. Cabarete is renowned for it's wind, a combination of trade winds and local thermal effect. Sometimes, the immediate beach front is very windy. Our house is shielded from the majority of the wind, leaving a gentle cooling breeze as you relax by the pool or sit, sipping drinks, in the shade on the veranda. Cabarete town is just a short walk along the beach. The town is full of beach-front cafes, bars and restaurants. Area Description: This vacation rental Villa is in the center of Cabarete bay on the North coast of the Dominican Republic. The beach is long and wide with fine white sand, the turquoise sea is warm, and a Coral Reef protects the Bay. Sometimes you will see turtles and manatees inside the reef and maybe in the distance whales.
There are many activities to suit everyone, or you can just relax and soak up the sun. Strong thermal winds and sunshine are well-known in Cabarete Bay making it the very best spot for Kitesurfing and Windsurfing. The beach is sheltered from the stronger wind on the water allowing pleasant sun-bathing.
Cabarete is a short stroll along the beach from Villa Gecko. The town has grown from a small sleepy fishing-community to a lively and thriving village. There are many shops, bars, and restaurants along the beach and in the main street. There is even a Casino!
