Run down the lawn right into beautiful Watauga Lake in Butler, TN. Surrounded by the Cherokee National Forest just over the mountains from Boone, NC and Damascus, VA, this Cape Cod style home was built for easy living on your vacation. Large rooms and an open floor plan, no one is left out from the activities - or the views. It is also wheelchair and handicapped accessible on the first floor.
Tie up your boat at your private dock. Don't have your own boat? Rent one from nearby Fish Springs Marina to keep at your dock. Fishing, swimming and sunning are also popular activities from the dock.
Watauga Lake in the northeastern Tennessee mountains is known as the third cleanest lake in the US according to the TVA. Swim, fish, boat - the water is warm in summer with no salt, no chlorine - just clean fresh mountain water. This home is far from the crowds and traffic jams associated with the Smokey Mountains and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Here visitors find peace and quiet as well as a lifetime of activities!
The Watauga Lake House is set on over an acre of flat land with open space on either side. Watching the sun rise over the mountains as the mist rises on Watauga Lake in the early spring, or in August, the full moon comes right into the house through the window over the fireplace.
Don't want to leave your 4-footed family members home? They are welcome to share the magic of the mountains with you for a small fee.
