We invite our guests to step back in time and enjoy the quiet retreat of this authentic 150-year-old log home. Absolut Joy is a recreation of a log home from Civil War days which has been updated with modern amenities. Located on beautiful Lake Douglas in Dandridge Tennessee, our getaway offers guests a relaxing spot to kick back and unwind. Take a leisurely stroll down a winding path through the woods to our 30'x18' covered swim & boat dock on beautiful Swann Point. We promise your stay at Absolut Joy will be both enjoyable and memorable.

Absolut Joy offers simple amenities. The cabin is equipped with central heat and A/C. We offer network TV with a VCR and DVD to enjoy your favorite movies in the cozy living room, complete with a wood-burning fireplace. The eat-in-kitchen also offers a fireplace for your enjoyment. Venture upstairs and you will find 2 large bedrooms, each with 1 double and 1 queen bed, sleeping up to 8. The walk through bath offers a shower and all the amenities. Sorry, but our cabin is not handicap accessible. Smoking is not permitted inside our cabin. No local phone service is available, so bring your cell phone (or not). You will need to furnish all linens and towels. A large 40' screened porch offers an area to enjoy a nice meal outside or a spot to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets and natural beauty which surrounds our vacation getaway. Pets are welcome, but require a $100, non-refundable damage deposit.

Enjoy water activities around our covered swim & boat dock. Campfire pit surrounded by adirondack chairs for a relaxing evening after a beautiful sunset. You might just cuddle up in the cabin with a good book or maybe challenge someone to a championship game of Backgammon.

Pigeon Forge (Dollywood) and Gatlinburg are within 45 minutes drive.There are 5 major golf courses nearby. Many trails for hiking enthusiasts. White water rafting is popular on the French Broad and Nolichucky Rivers.
