Bed By The Stream is a working ranch and B&B, with a beautiful historic barn (horses, chickens, peacocks and three cats and a dog are among our permanent guests). We are located on five acres of streamside property, on the border of Woodstock and Saugerties, NY. Stop by anytime to visit our beautiful gardens, walk in the orchard and experience the sounds and fresh air of the country.

For special nights and longer term vacation rentals, we have two great options: our POOLSIDE SUITE is available, featuring a king-sized comfort control bed, deluxe private bathroom with a jacuzzi and steam shower. This suite has a sitting area, a large screen TV, with DVD/VCR and stereo. The suite features a private screened-in porch overlooking the pool (perfect for summer evenings), and a wood pellet stove (for those romantic winter nights).

We also have BED OF DREAMS a cozy newly renovated one bedroom guest apartment (complete with a kitchen, living room fireplace, TV, with DVD/VCR -- all the comforts of home) not to mention a private outside deck leading to our outdoor swimming pool, bath with jacuzzi. This adorable apartment can sleep four people. Private entrance overlooking our streams and our horse corals.

All rooms have color cable TV, queen-size beds, and air conditioning.

Our stunning, wooded property is surrounded by the Plattekill Stream on three sides. Horses abound, and arrangements can be made for an unforgetable ride into the mountains (reservations required). We can accomodate the most experienced rider as well as the novice. Activities and Attractions Nearby:
Saugerties and Woodstock are rich with things to do in every season, with everything to satisfy both the outdoor enthusiast and the antique buff. In summer, there is everything from tubing, canoeing and horseback riding to tennis, golf and bicycling. Autumn and Spring are the perfect times to enjoy the change of seasons and take a hike or bike ride. In Winter, Hunter, Windham and Belleayre ski areas are a short drive away, or come up to Woodstock for holiday shopping and dinner by a fire. Christmas Eve in Woodstock is an extra special time for the kids when Santa comes to town. The Village of Saugerties is well known for its antique shops and auctions, and Hudson, NY is a short drive across the river. Legendary Woodstock is a picturesque historic artists' colony with many unique stores and crafts made by local artists.

Restaurant Facilities:
We do not have a restaurant, but some of the best restaurants (and live entertainment)outside of New York City are within a few miles of us. We do serve an unforgettable hot country breakfast every morning, featuring Bill's famous homefries and fresh organic eggs cooked any style you wish. Breakfast is served on our sun porch overlooking the Plattekill Stream.
