Located:
Boca Grande is a charming centralized village on 7-mile-long Gasparilla Island, which is located between Fort Myers and Sarasota. Access to Boca Grande in via a toll bridge which tends to keep the island peaceful and quiet. Legend has it that the infamous pirate Jose Gaspar once lived here in style, and the lure was then, as it is now, the wonderful weather and some of the world’s best tarpon fishing. The biggest event in Boca Grande is the annual “World’s Richest Tarpon Tournament,” usually held the second week of July. Visitors can enjoy miles of beaches on the island, picnicking, fishing, swimming, shelling. Nature trails are available for hikers. Gasparilla Island State Recreational Area is the site of a still-working, wooden U.S. Coast Guard lighthouse, built in 1890. Boca Grande is a Florida version of Nantucket, where you’ll find upscale boutiques, art galleries and fine dining. This island is unique as you can operate golf carts on the public streets throughout the entire island.

Directions:
DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO BOCA GRANDE THE BOCA GRANDE CLUB 5000 GASPARILLA ROAD Village Home #2 Take I-75 and exit at 170 (old exit 31). Turn (west) at the traffic light at the end of off-ramp onto Kings Hwy. Stay in right lane and turn right at 1st traffic light, which is Veterans Blvd. Continue approx. 5miles and you will Cross US-41. Veterans Blvd then becomes SR-776. Continue on SR-776 approximately. 5 miles to CR-771. Turn left onto CR-771 and continue approximately 8 miles. The road will make a sharp right turn after crossing a flat bridge at Coral Creek. The Fishery Restaurant will be directly ahead of you when you turn right. Turn left at the next traffic light onto the Boca Grande Causeway and pay the toll. Follow the road for a few miles across the causeway and over a small bridge. The Boca Grande Club will be at the northern portion of the Island on your right. Tell the guard you are going to Village Home #2 and you will be directed to the main office to check in. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.
