Located:
Cambria is located 240 miles north of Los Angeles and 240 miles south of San Francisco on U.S. Highway 1. From the south, take Hwy 101 to San Luis Obispo (Morro Bay, Hearst Castle Exit sign) to Hwy 1. From the north, take Hwy 101 to Hwy 46 (Cambria Exit Sign) to Hwy 1.
One block from Ocean and Park in the Park Hill area of Cambria, Central Coast, California, USA; (304 Bristol at Windsor); 7 miles South of Hearst Castle; 20-25 miles north of Morro Bay and Cayucos; 25 East of Paso Robles and Wine Country.
Directions:
1. From 101 traveling north from Los Angeles area, continue on 101 through Santa Maria, 5 Cities, Pismo and Shell Beach. As you approach San Luis Obispo, look for Los Osos Valley Road exit. Exit right and turn left at stop sign and continue through business area (lots of car dealerships and Home Depot); continue through residential area, then farming country side. You will be going west. As you approach the town of Los Osos, you will see more activity and you need to watch for a sign to Morro Bay. It only turns right (North). Stay on that road thru areas of Baywood, and areas of backwater. Continue on until you approach Hwy 1, road ends there and you will go under the highway, turn right, and get onto Hwy 1 heading north. After a mile or 2 you will then be traveling along the ocean again. Pass through Cayucus and continue another 15-20 miles. When you are near Cambria, you will find 3 stop lights on Hwy 1. Pass the first 2 lights and turn left at the third. Once you have turned left, follow Windsor, (Do NOT take the right that goes to Moonstone) go over bridge, then it curves right, then left and our home is about a block from the park on the corner of Windsor and Bristol. Although our address is on Bristol, our garage and entry are off of Windsor. If you pull into drive, please be careful to enter slowly, at a slight angle to get safely over "speed bump." You car will drag bottom if you aren't careful.

2. From 101 traveling north from Los Angeles area, continue on 101 through Santa Maria, 5 Cities, Pismo and Shell Beach. Continue to San Luis Obispo, looking for the exit to HWY 1 to Morro Bay. It is a somewhat confusing exit as it actually goes through town and Cal Poly traffic. But just follow signs and stay on Hwy 1 to Morro Bay. You will join the ocean again. Pass through Cayucus and continue another 15-20 miles. When you are near Cambria, you will find 3 stop lights on Hwy 1. Pass the first 2 lights and turn left at the third. Follow Windsor, (Do NOT take the right that goes to Moonstone) go over bridge, then it curves right, then left and our home is about a block from the park on the corner of Windsor and Bristol. Although our address is on Bristol, our garage and entry are off of Windsor. If you pull into drive, please be careful to enter slowly, at a slight angle to get safely over "speed bump." You car will drag bottom if you aren't careful.
You will see that only the Exits that get you to Morro Bay are difference. From there directions are the same.
If your family from San Francisco area drive in, they can take Hwy 1 all the way if they was the LONG winding, but scenic drive. They will then approach Cambria FROM the North and will turn right at the first stop light, go over bridge, then it curves right, then left and our home is about a block from the park on the corner of Windsor and Bristol. If you pull into drive, please be careful to enter slowly, at a slight angle to get safely over "speed bump." You car will drag bottom if you aren't careful.
OR
They can also come 101 through Paso Robles 1 mile and turn on 46 with signs to Hearst Castle. Once 46 ends (25 miles), turn right and when you are near Cambria, you will find 3 stop lights on Hwy 1. Pass the first 2 lights and turn left at the third, go over bridge, then it curves right, then left and our home is about a block from the park on the corner of Windsor and Bristol. If you pull into drive, please be careful to enter slowly, at a slight angle to get safely over "speed bump." You car will drag bottom if you aren't careful.
