The assay office is located in the old gold mining town of Cardinal which dates back to 1870. It is 12 mins from Eldora Mountain Resort for downhill skiing, xc skiing and snowboarding. Right outside the door of the Assay Office is excellent xc skiing and snowshoeing on the famous Switzerland Trail. We are also located just 5 mins from the quaint little town of Nederland, where there is night life and excellent restaurants with an old west flavor. |

This is a sunny, creekside cabin which is completely renovated from its original being as the assay office for the gold mining town. It's charm is unique. Walk around the Townsite (population 3) and enjoy the historic buildings and the recently restored Cardinal Mill. The cabin has a woodstove as well as central heating. It features a full bathroom & washer/dryer and a creekside patio. This cabin is also available as a summertime rental. |
