This area is best known for its unparalled natural beauty and perfect Summer climate. Enjoy mountain vistas and breathtaking waterfalls along with cool mountain breezes all Summer long. In the Fall, spectacular leaf colors dazzle the vision, as the season changes. Activities abound for every age; World class golf courses, endless hiking trails, pristine lakes and trout streams, boating and canoeing, horseback riding stables within minutes with guided mountain trails, Gem Mining in nearby Franklin, and the NEW Harrah's Casino in close by Cherokee.
Swimming in Lake Glenville from our community 5 slip dock is awaiting you. The 6 mile Lake is at the highest level (2600 Ft.) east of the Rocky Mountains. The dock can also be used to park personal watercraft, if you want to bring it for your stay.
Horseback riding is a stone’s throw away at our neighbor ‘Arrowmont’ academy. There you may enjoy guided tours on their 200 acre mountain preserve.
Gourmet restaurants with charming antique shops in both Cashiers and The world famous shopping district in ‘Highlands’ is a short drive.
Just North, out of Silva, find the Dillsboro Train. There you may Experience an Appalachian Mountain scenic tour, with dinner aboard if desired.
