Spend your next vacation in a beautiful waterfront house, located right on Deer Lake on Whidbey Island. Enjoy the private dock right in front of the house.

Become one with the 180-degree views of Deer Lake and the surrounding wooded hills. Sit on the dock or deck (or living room in winter) for hours watching the view and birds. Speaking of birds, careful observers are likely to see eagles, herons, belted kingfishers, Canadian geese, mergansers, loons, cormorants, buffleheads and much more.

Trout fishing is excellent and popular. It’s a great place for canoes, rowboats and summertime swimming. Water skiing is limited to a few hours in the middle of the day. Jet skis are not allowed on the lake. Enjoy the many restaurants and shops in Langley, 9 minutes away. There is a lot to do and see on Whidbey Island and we are conveniently located for most of it.

A trip to Whidbey Island isn’t complete without visiting Puget Sound. Salt-water access (boating and beach) is just a few minutes away at the numerous parks on South Whidbey.

This is a perfect romantic getaway for just the two of you. Bring the kids and make it a family event. Rent it with friends. It’s a great place to chat, enjoy the view, sip a little wine and generally relax. Summer, fall, winter and spring, this is a great place to be.

The master bedroom suite is romantic and comfortable. There is a great view of the lake right from the bed, looking through the 8 foot sliding glass door. The king size cherry sleigh bed has a very comfortable mattress. There is a satellite TV in the room. The master bathroom is huge with a big corner Jacuzzi tub, separate shower and 2 sink vanity. The view of Deer lake dominates the living room, dining room and master bedroom. The kitchen also looks out at the lake. One end of the L shaped living room makes a cozy entertainment area with a 32 inch TV connected to a satellite dish and DVD player. We have a few DVDs and Karaoke disks, or rent them about a mile away. We just remodeled the interior of the house with new hardwood floors, fresh paint and an improved layout. This is a very nice place. We are located 4 minutes away from the ferry for easy access. Deer Lake has maximum depth of 50 feet and reaches 25 feet a short paddle from our dock. The depth at the dock is 3 to 4 feet and reaches a nice swimming depth of 7 feet about 30 feet from the dock. The distance to the far side of the lake is a half-mile. On summer evenings there are people swimming all over the lake. There is a public boat launch 3 blocks away if you bring a boat on a trailer and you can tie your boat up at our dock. The fishing is excellent. Fishing season is open from late April to late October. If you like crayfish, they are abundant as well. We can usually get our limit of trout in a couple hours of fishing. There are also bass, which enthusiasts fish for primarily in the mornings.
