Guest Book: This was our second visit to the Hillside Retreat Chalet. Our first visit to the Chalet in Tahoe Donner was the Summer 2005 our wonderful 10 day reprieve from the city heat and traffic. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed long hours in the pools and the Marina was grand. Both my wife and I loved frequenting the nearby gym. Our 10 year old learned to sail while our 15 year old jet skied. Our 2nd trip in January was an adult get away & equally fabulous. After returning from the slopes (also nearby) the house was warm cozy & fully stocked. We invited another couple up to join us for the remainder of our 5 night holiday. The four of us enjoyed dinning in the quaint town of Truckee- the ladies took long walks while the guys played poker. Simply put, anyone would enjoy. Short drive from Bay Area- easy access to many amenities & a superb property. Just a foot note: as a frequent renter of fine homes this property gained my loyalty as a return renter- no hidden costs!
