The Susan Dean, a stately 1886 mansion, survived the 1900 Storm to become one of Galveston's grand ladies of Church Street. With an ornate staircase, second story balconies and private courtyards, this home invites visitors to step back into the Victorian Era of gracious living. This beauty is large enough for family reunions, wedding parties, and special dinners. Have tea in the elegant living room; entertain in the impressive dining room. Relax in the spacious yet intimate library. Sip your morning coffee among the birds on the back decks. Stroll a few blocks to the beach and she will call you back again. A stay at this no-host home includes an equipped kitchen, luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding and Turkish towels, and it is professionally decorated with European and American antiques.
