You cannot get much closer to the beach than this classic Carmel Beach House, completely remodelled in 2000. Our home, "One Ocean," sits at the bottom of Ocean Avenue, offering direct access to the beach, Carmel shops and restaurants. Golfers can walk to Pebble Beach, while strollers can enjoy Carmel's famed mile-long beach. Renters can meet visitors from around the world because of our home's proximity to the beach and its parking area. Or, if you prefer privacy, retreat to the secluded back yard and hot tub or to the upstairs deck with its 180 degree ocean and sunset views. The upstairs master suite boasts incredible views from Point Lobos to Pebble Beach. Downstairs three additional bedrooms complement the casual living room and cook's kitchen complete with Wolf commercial range. The house can be configured in a number of ways to meet your family's needs. Some visitors choose to use one bedroom as an office and another as an exercise/yoga studio. We have tried to design the interior with maximum flexibility in mind. The remodel was designed with comfort and companionship in mind. The art dealer owner's eclectic collection complements objects brought from travels around the world. A ten foot teak dining table affords comfortable seating for ten to twelve. The owners love cooking, hiking and both teach yoga, so we would be happy to offer our recommendations for spiritual, physical, or hedonistic pursuits. Until recently this was our primary residence, and we hope you will enjoy staying as much as we have enjoyed living here. It is much more than a typical vacation rental. |
