The VacationRental.org Standards of Quality
VacationRental.org is the only organization of vacation rental owners committed to providing superior lodging. Every property listed by VacationRental.org is owned by property owners* who are committed to providing first class lodging meeting the standards of first class hotels. We forward all complaints from guests to the property owner*. If there is apattern of complaints, the property is delisted.
Each member commits to the following standards as a condition of listing on the VacationRental.org directory:
| Cleanliness: | All property will be clean to the standards of a first class hotel when a guest checks in. | |
| Amenities: | Each property will contain all linens, towels, a fully equipped kitchen, private telephone, radio, TV with cable or satellite, and VCR or DVD. | |
| Surcharges: | Guests will not be subject to extra surcharges or “nickel and dime'ing” that are common in the lodging industry. Guests will be fully informed of all charges when accommodations are booked. | |
| Maintenance: | All appliances and facilities will be in good working order, and someone will be available to handle repairs, maintenance and other problems in a timely manner. | |
| Fire Safety: | The property will be equipped with working smoke detectors and fire extinguishers and will be in compliance with State and local fire protection ordinances. | |
| Security Deposits: | There will be no unreasonable withholding of security deposits for routine wear and tear. | |
| Rights of Guests: | The legal and contractual rights and obligations of the guests will be respected. | |
| Truth in Advertising: | The property will be accurately represented in all promotional material on websites and on printed materials. | |
| Confidentiality: | The property owner will refuse to disclose or provide access to confidential guest information to unauthorized persons. | |
| Quality Assurances: | The property owner agrees that listing may
be withdrawn in the sole discretion of VacationRental.org
if there is a pattern of complaints from guests.

manager or other lawful agent. |
